Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arusha Arrival & Tarangire Exploration

   Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, your dedicated BIG TOURS driver-guide will warmly welcome you. We then head directly to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its majestic baobab trees and significant elephant populations, especially during the dry season. Spend the day on an extensive game drive, exploring the park's riverine landscapes in search of predators and diverse birdlife. As dusk approaches, we'll depart the park and ascend to the charming Karatu highlands for dinner and your overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

2. Day 2

   Across Ngorongoro & Into the Serengeti Wilds

   After an early breakfast, we journey into the magnificent Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Crater from the rim road before continuing your descent on the outer slopes towards the expansive short-grass plains. Seamlessly crossing into Serengeti National Park, your game viewing adventure begins immediately through the Central Seronera valley, a renowned hotspot for spotting leopards and cheetahs. As evening descends, retreat to Embalakai Serengeti Camp for dinner under the starlit African sky.

3. Day 3

   Serengeti Dawn & Ngorongoro Rim Retreat

   Awaken early for a spectacular golden hour game drive across the Seronera plains, seeking out large lion prides returning from their nocturnal hunts. Afterwards, return to camp for a hearty late brunch. With bags packed, we embark on a final game drive as we exit the park, making our way back towards the cooler, high-altitude terrain. Ascend to your accommodation perched directly overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater wilderness. Enjoy a refreshing cooler evening along the volcanic shelf at Ngorongoro Rim Lodge.

4. Day 4

   Crater Wonders, Maasai Culture & Departure

   At first light, descend the impressive 600-meter volcanic walls into the Ngorongoro Crater basin. This unique, self-contained biosphere offers an unparalleled opportunity to spot the Big Five, including the elusive black rhino, alongside protected hyena clans and golden jackals. Following an early picnic lunch within the crater, we ascend the rim. Enjoy a visit to an authentic Maasai cultural village before beginning the scenic drive back down to the plains, concluding your adventure with a direct drop-off at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your onward flight.
