Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Arrival in Kilimanjaro & Luxury Villa Retreat

   Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our dedicated BIG TOURS representative will greet you. Enjoy a comfortable, short transfer to the exquisite Aya Sophia Wildlife Villa in Dolly Estate. The afternoon invites you to observe and interact with resident giraffes, zebras, and ostriches within the beautifully manicured grounds. Conclude your day with a superb welcome dinner by the poolside, settling into a peaceful first night in Arusha.

2. Day 2

   Journey to Tarangire National Park: Elephant Sanctuary

   Your expert driver-guide will meet you early for departure from the villa. Board your private vehicle and head south towards Tarangire National Park, renowned for its ancient baobab trees and massive elephant herds. During drier periods, the Tarangire River acts as a lifeline, attracting large family groups of elephants. Spend the day on extensive game drives, focusing on predator sightings, before ascending to the scenic Karatu highlands. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at Marera Valley Lodge or a similar premium mid-range property.

3. Day 3

   Ngorongoro Highlands Transit to the Serengeti Plains

   After breakfast, pack up and embark on a scenic drive along the misty Ngorongoro Conservation Area ridge, descending into the expansive plains of the Serengeti. A delightful packed bush picnic lunch will be served under a lone acacia tree. The afternoon is dedicated to intensive game viewing, particularly in the central Seronera valley, famous for its high concentrations of leopards and active lion prides. Check into Embalakai Serengeti Camp for dinner around the campfire, followed by a night under the vast African sky in a luxurious tented camp.

4. Day 4

   Full Day Wildlife Tracking in the Central Serengeti

   Dedicate an entire 24-hour period to exploring the prime wildlife circuits of the central Serengeti plains. Your guide will skillfully navigate the terrain, utilizing granite kopjes as vantage points to locate resident cheetahs, elusive leopards, and territorial lion prides. Follow the seasonal migration movements as they converge around waterholes. As evening approaches, return to the unparalleled comfort of Embalakai Serengeti Camp for dinner and another magical night amidst the stars.

5. Day 5

   Serengeti Sunrise Drive & Journey to Ngorongoro Crater Rim

   Witness a final, breathtaking Serengeti dawn during an early morning game drive, observing nocturnal predators like hyenas and big cats returning from their hunts. After a mid-day camp brunch, pack your belongings and enjoy a final game drive as you exit the park, heading towards the high-altitude volcanic landscape. Ascend the steep highland trails to reach a comfortable mid-range lodge situated perfectly along the outer crater rim for dinner and a cooler evening.

6. Day 6

   Ngorongoro Crater Exploration & Departure

   Descend early into the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest un-flooded inactive caldera. This magnificent self-contained ecosystem teems with over 25,000 large mammals. Track resident black-maned lions, formidable Cape buffalo, and the critically endangered black rhinos across the short-grass plains. Enjoy a picturesque picnic lunch beside an active hippo pool before ascending back to the rim. From there, you will be directly transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) for your flight home.
