Overview

Embark on an exclusive single-day safari experience from Arusha, crafted to offer a taste of Tanzania's renowned wildlife. This express adventure serves as an ideal introduction to the country's diverse ecosystems or a practical pre-flight wildlife excursion. You have the flexibility to select one of two distinct national parks based on your preferred wildlife encounters. Option A takes you to Tarangire National Park, a majestic landscape characterized by ancient baobab trees and sprawling riverbeds, famous for its exceptionally large and dense elephant populations. Option B leads to Lake Manyara National Park, offering a contrasting micro-climate with lush groundwater forests, vibrant flamingo colonies on its soda lake, and its legendary tree-dwelling lions.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Morning Pick-up & Journey to the Wild

   Your BIG TOURS expert driver-guide will collect you from your Arusha accommodation in our specially adapted 4x4 safari vehicle. Enjoy a comfortable and scenic drive through the Maasai plains en route to your chosen national park destination.

2. 10:30 AM

   Wildlife Exploration

   Upon arrival at your selected park (Tarangire or Lake Manyara), we begin our immersive game drive. In Tarangire, your guide will expertly navigate ancient river courses in search of vast elephant herds and lurking predators. If in Manyara, you'll venture beneath a lush forest canopy, observing playful baboons and scanning the branches for the elusive tree-climbing lions.

3. 01:00 PM

   Al Fresco Lunch Amidst Nature

   We pause for a delightful picnic lunch at a designated scenic spot within the park, allowing you to relax and soak in the sights and sounds of the African bush.

4. 02:30 PM

   Afternoon Safari & Departure

   Continue your wildlife viewing as the afternoon's cooler temperatures encourage increased animal activity near water sources. We then make our way leisurely towards the park's exit gates.

5. 06:00 PM

   Transfer to Airport or Arusha

   We will smoothly transfer you to your final drop-off location, either timing your arrival perfectly for an evening flight departure at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or returning you to your hotel in Arusha.
